What is unique about PixelPoint products?

Uniformity. All products are developed entirely in-house to work seamlessly with one another. In fact, they are all part of each other, giving you one application to work with, cutting down implementation, training and support fees and increasing the user experience.

What gives PixelPoint POS its reliability and stability?

At the core of all PixelPoint products is its powerful SQL engine. This technology was specifically designed to ensure data efficiency, speed and above all reliability.

Which licenses are needed for an installation that has 3 restaurant terminals and an office PC?

3x PixelPoint POS Professional Licence
1x PixelPoint POS BackOffice Software (Free of Charge)

Does PixelPoint POS require a dedicated server to operate?

No. The volume of transactions that a particular installation produces should dictate the configuration of your LAN. For example, a high transaction environment such as a night-club or bar environment should be configured with a dedicated server. Conversely, a low transaction environment such as a fine dining environment would allow one of the POS workstations to be configured as a workstation & server.

What are the recommended system requirements to run PixelPoint POS?

Pentium PIII 866Mhz or higher with 128MB Ram, 20GB Hard Drive
Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft XP Pro
Any pointing device such as windows compatible touch screen technology
Compatible with all commercially available POS receipt printers

What do I need in order to accept credit cards with PixelPoint POS?

You will need the following;

PixelPoint CreditCheck
Compatible Ingenico EFTPOS terminal

What is the maximum number of terminals that PixelPoint POS can handle?

There is no maximum. The limits are based on the capability of the LAN.

Can I use my PixelPoint 97 menu with PixelPoint POS?

A conversion utility has been provided to convert PixelPoint 97 databases to PixelPoint POS.

Does PixelPoint offer any incentives for sites needing many terminals?

Yes. Discounted client add-on packages are available in a 5, 10, and 15 Pak.

How do I generate my own custom reports?

Over 150 reports are available with PixelPoint POS. With each of these reports, custom 'filters' can be created to narrow the information available. These custom report configurations can be saved as new reports for frequent use. If none of the reports delivered with the system can yield the information needed, then new reports can be created by purchasing Crystal Reports, a leading report design application.

How flexible is PixelPoint's user interface?

PixelPoint POS allows you to easily customize the layout of your order screen with an easy-to-use design tool. Change the size, color or position of any of the screen components such as the item grid, category grid, on-screen bill, and custom function buttons. A different order screen layout can be used on different terminals, depending on their function, to help maximize the efficiency of each of the terminals. As well, PixelPoint gives you the flexibility to design custom floor layouts. You can create pool tables, restaurant tables, the bar area, patios, and much more with the use of a Graphical Layout Design utility.

How can I retrieve sales information when I'm off-site?

PixelPoint offers a few off-site access methods including a reporting engine which can deliver HTML reports via standard browser, or even the industry first TAPI compliant IVR application, whereby sales info is retrieved via touch tone phone.

What types of restaurants is PixelPoint suitable for?

Any eating establishment, including those located on properties requiring communications to other systems like member billing, front desk, golf resort software, and so on.

How can I use PixelPoint to run multiple locations?

HeadOffice(tm), PixelPoint's Enterprise Software gives multi-unit operators the ability to easily collect, analyze and manage PixelPoint's POS data across an enterprise from one place, using the Internet.
